I am still working on a strategy for deciding who to blog about. On the one hand, I can look through the list of replies and pick out people that I know (and hope that they won’t mind). I can also pick out people I don’t know (and hope that they won’t mind). I can also pick out people I sort of know. So many choices. Of course, what I most want is for people to send me links and updates of all sorts.

In the meantime, Hamid Faruqee has some interesting working papers available at the IMF. Of course, there can’t be more than a handful of people in the class who would want to read this sort of stuff. But who am I to pass judgment? Moreover, I am one of them! I also believe that Hamid is married to Susan Courtney-Faruqee, but this is something that our current class reunion technology does not make crystal clear.

Of course, this raises all sorts of interesting questions about how many married Ph.D.’s our class has. If we restrict attention to marriages where both are 1988’ers, I would be surprised if there were another. But I am eager to be disproved!
