Best (relatitively) new student publication at Williams? Monkeys With Typewriters.

Monkeys With Typewriters is a magazine of non-fiction essays.
We publish about twice a semester; the only requirements are
a length between 1100 and 1300 words, and that the
essay be non-fiction. We edit collaboratively, working with writers
to improve their essays and making sure nothing gets added
or deleted without their permission. Essays can be as personal
or as abstract as you like; your tone can be
stylized or direct. The idea is that the editorial voice
emerges from the essays themselves.

Great stuff. Try the latest issue (pdf) and check out the archives. I was just going to sample the last issue, but the essays were all so good that I read the whole thing. Highly recommended, especially “The Dad Bag” by Ruth Aronoff.
