The popular, controversial Williams College-oriented news source ‘EphBlog’ has selected prominent local resident Rechtal Turgidley, Jr to its’ Board, EphBlog founder David Kane announced today in Boston.

“In our continuing search for a fair and balanced view of the news and a board to provide oversight and hold us to rigorous journalistic standards”, Kane said, “we are fortunate to have interested and generationally-challenged individuals like Rechtal Turgidley, Jr desirous of giving their time and expertise to our on-going efforts”.

Reached at his family home Chapeau Panama here on Quark Island for comment, Mr Turgidley, Jr said he accepted the appointment “with the greatest pleasure”.

“The rise of the internet as a medium for communication, of which I was barely aware until introduced to it last year by a dear friend and old Williams roommate, is amazing. I now on many occasions set aside my Parker Duofold and bottle of Quink”, he went on. “to converse and confide on many topics using the ‘stationary’ of the ephblog for this correspondence”.

“In serving ephblog,” Rectal Turgidley, Jr continued, “I feel I can make valuable additions to the present rather particular fields of interest by expanding the sights of the editor and contributors to broader arenas such as the exciting world of philately and its’ current controversy over the ratings of stamp perforation qualities”.

Rechtal Turgidley, Jr continues his current positions with The Quark Island Ferry Company, Quark Island Philatelic Society, and The Chapeau Panama Restoration Corporation. Turgidley, Jr is a major stockholder of The Quark Island Outlook.
