Thanks to nuts for the tip. The Williams action is just a few seconds, but worth a click.

Is Joe Scarborough the flavo-flav of morning political talk television? I think not, instead his sophomoric playfulness is a gambit to keep the ratings up. Joe is solid delivering bottom line analysis of the politics of a story from the right, although the bluster may rub some people the wrong way.
Mika dad’s Zbigniew was on as a guest recently. Before they finished the segment Zbigniew asked Joe if he would let Mika speak more often. It was funny as hell. Joe is the big personality.
Am I correct that Mika majored in English, Erin majored in political science and economics, and played field hockey?
I must have been out to lunch when Mika refused to run with the Paris Hilton story. Way to go Mika!
On June 26, 2007, near the beginning of Morning Joe, Brzezinski refused to read a report about Paris Hilton’s release from jail. One hour later during another news break segment, her producer Andy Jones again pushed the story as the lead, ranking it over Republican Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana’s break with President Bush on the Iraq war, which Brzezinski considered more important. After several sarcastic remarks from host Joe Scarborough, she attempted to light the story’s script on fire on the air, but in safety of the newsroom, she was physically prevented from doing so by co-host Willie Geist. She then tore up the script, and one hour later, got up and ran another copy of the script through a paper shredder retrieved from Dan Abrams’s office. The incident was quickly popularized on the Internet, and in the days that followed Brzezinski received large quantities of fan mail supporting her on-air protest as a commentary on the tension between ‘hard news’ and ‘entertainment news.’ wiki
Maybe we could invite Joe Scarborough up next fall to lead some cheers at Homecoming.

David, nice job getting this clip to start at 1:17. How does one do this?

@nuts – try this:
When you’re linking to a youtube video, I think you add something like “&t=1m17s” rather than “start=20” to the end of the url.

^^ David seems to have &start=77 after his URL.
(I prefer &fmt=18).

A few YouTube videos allow &fmt=22 which (I think) is 720p HD. Here’s a gorgeous example (might need a few minutes to buffer first):

That was pretty funny and Scarborough said “Eph” correctly! I knew Mika’s older brother, Ian, and Erin’s older sister, Mara, when at Williams, and liked them both. It’s nice to see their younger siblings doing well!
