On Thursday, Feb. 11 Political Science and the President’s Office present a moot court proceeding on the question, “Should Juvenile Offenders Be Sentenced to Life without Parole?” Participating will be four judges from four different US Circuit Courts of Appeals: Hon. Stephen Reinhardt from the Ninth, Hon. Jeffrey Howard from the First, Hon. Jeffrey Sutton ‘83 from the Sixth, and Hon. Peter Hall from the Second Circuit. The case will be argued by students from the Winter Study Course, PSCI 014 The Federal Bench, with assistance from two prominent attorneys (and P’10s), now of Burlington: Barbara O’Connor and David Kirby. 8:00 pm in Griffin 3.
