Rather if you spent a week on this…

I’m seeing amazing consistency in terms of the sheer dominance of the economics department, the strong enrollment in the hard sciences, and consistent enrollment for majors in political science, English, psychology and my old favorite — political economy.

If I was in charge, I think I’d get rid of about half the majors with enrollments of 10 or less and beef up the classes and majors that the most students want to take…especially economics. Frankly, we need more economists in this nation.

Someone needs to be on hand to explain why you can’t build a strong nation on high taxes, redistribution and welfare programs.

So which department gives out the cultural Marxist Kool-Aid?

I suspect the only one that does not promote cultural Marxism is the economics department. Maybe all these other classes could be taught on-line by serious scholars who are not pushing an ideological agenda?

Among the interesting things is the increase in the number of Division 3 majors in the last few years. I wonder if that’s a blip or a trend (to use some highly technical statistical language)
