Wonder what will remain when it is fixed? Will the content be archived and harder to find through search engines?
Is this a reboot and rebrand moment?

Again, the above comment is not from me. Dave, you NEED to do something about this. So far the comments have been uncontroversial and anodyne, but I do not expect that to last. PLEASE ACT ON THIS.

Apologies to the one, and only, real dcat.
1) We occasionally see spoofing attempts like this. Whenever I notice them, I delete them.
2) Most spoofing attempts feature much more controversial/offensive comments. I am not sure why someone would go to the trouble to spoof only to write something like “Great post indeed”
3) Might this be an innocent mistake? Or is it a nefarious longterm plot to impersonate dcat. I don’t know. Either way, future spoofing comments like this will be deleted immediately.

Thanks, Dave. yeah, it’s weird. But it also might have been a feeler. In any case, thanks.

dcat has a stalker. The stalker should know that no one is anonymous on the internet. An anonymous comment is one thing- done for many valid reasons- while an assumption of anthers identity is a different matter.
I recommend outing the location of the posting if this happens again… further action if it continues.
