Spoken up …

UPDATE AT 8:59 PST: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
(for some reason or other this phrase gives me a frisson accompanied by deja vu. Quel horrour!)

“Archive of comments from Speak Up. As usual, there is tons of great stuff here. Other authors are encouraged to turn these comments into posts in the main thread. No extra work required! Just copy and paste.” This is a quote from Dave Kane. I cannot verify the ease with which anything requiring a knowledge of the miracle of electricity can be accomplished.

Aha! Exactly as I feared. I am following a set of instructions sent to me by David. I find that I do not have sufficient clearance to access the necessary commands to transfer the comments from the present tense to the past tense. Now I am tense. Kane, if you are reading this: HELP!

I receive the same message once in a while on my very own computer. I find it terribly demeaning!

Spoken Up

Archive of Spoken Up comments from the last few weeks. Note that if, for some reason, your comment does not easily archive, I will often just delete it. (This happens sometimes with photos or other complex html.) If you really want to save these genius contributions, you should join us as an author and create a post on the main page.

FYI: Not all comments move easily from Speak Up to here. I can’t figure out why. So, I just delete them. That is too bad because some are quite good. Those ought to be posts on the main page anyway. Solution: Put them there! All are welcome to join us as authors.

Spoken Up

This is an archive of Speak Up comments from the last two weeks. Going forward, I am going to separate this feature from the weekly Purple Noise open thread. I will (try to) have Purple Noise be a weekly feature on Friday but I will only archive Speak Up when there seem to be enough comments to merit doing so.

It seems that our Purple Noise conversations are sometimes still-born because they begin with dozens of old, disjointed comments from Speak Up.

Feedback is always welcome.
